Best Water Fountains in The Park (grading system)

Water Fountain Scoring System

Breakdown

Each Water Fountain will be graded on a Twenty Point system, each with the chance to attain said Twenty Points, or not. Two of the Parameters will have a Five point scale, One will have a Four point scale, and Two will have a Three point scale.

Parameters:

1. Flow.

Flow will take into consideration the way the water reaches your lips. Within this category, items that will be considered during grading will include: The Arc of the Stream (which is how high or powerful the stream is coming out and whether or not you have to strain your neck or get you lips perilously close to the metal), Thickness of the Stream (which will describe how much water is coming out and whether or not you have to slurp and embarrass yourself or just let the water do all the work and flow into your mouth).

Grading for Flow.

Flow will be graded on a five point scale that will give you a clue as to what to expect, which is as follows:

*=Disappointing in all aspects of flow

**=Less than good. Lips almost touching metal and neck craned. Very thin Stream.

***=Average. Bad Arc but good thickness of Stream.

****=Good. Arc is accessible, and Stream is thin.

*****=Perfect=Arc is far from metal, Stream is thick. Water does all the work. Enjoy.

2. Location/Need.

Location will take into consideration that moment when you want/need water and the location of the the Fountain near the "Hot Spot." Location will also take into mind the amount of traffic near the Fountain and whether or not it is easy reach at a moment's notice and whether other Guests tend to block the Fountain.

Grading for Location/Need:

Location/Need will be graded on a Five Point scale that will give you a clue as to what to expect, which is as follows:

*=WTH! Middle of Nowhere, heavy traffic, no shade.

**=Err. Too close to a bathroom thus heavy traffic, has shade. Okay moment of Need.

***=Okay. In an attraction queue. Decent Moment of Need with traffic.

****=Great. Shade, low traffic, short walk from "Hot Spot."

*****=Perfect. Shade, low traffic, inside "Hot Spot" and thus perfect Moment of Need.

3. Temperature.

Temperature will take into consideration the temperature of the water, taking into consideration whether or not the Fountain is in the shade and is being affected by sunlight.

Grading for Temperature:

Temperature will be graded on a Four Point scale that will give you a clue as to what to expect, which is as follows:

*=Bad. The water is hot. You'll spit it out, or make soup with it.

**=Eh. Tepid. Only good for chapped lips.

***=WOW. Too cold. Hurts your teeth and forces you to take only a sip at a time.

****=Perfect. That temperature that lets you sustain a lengthy drink and cools body and mind. Sprite has nothing on this thirst quenching power.

4. Size.

Size will take into consideration the height of the Fountain; are there multiple accommodations for shorter Guests (kids) and taller Guests (adults)? Also do they function independently, for example: does one fountain lose pressure once another connected Fountain comes into use?

Grading for Size:

Size will be graded on a Three Point scale that will give you a clue as to what to expect, which is as follows:

*=Accommodates only short sized Guests.

**=Multiple accommodations, although they do react to each other.

***=Multiple accommodations, independent.

5. Theme.

Theme will take into consideration the Land the Fountain is in and whether or not it is themed to the Story of the Land (does it fit in?), and whether or not the use of them detracts from Size and/or Location/Need.

Grading for Theme:

Theme will be graded on a Three Point scale that will give you a clue as to what to expect, which is as follows:

*=Standard. Nothing special, just a Water Fountain.

**=Good. Themed to the Land, but Size and Location/Need are compromised.

***=Perfect. Themed to the Land, does not compromise Size and/or Location/Need.

Breakdown of Overall Score:

Twenty Point Scale.

5-7= Not worth emergencies. Stay away. Buy a water bottle instead.

8-10= Really!? You can do better. Okay for emergencies, but you better have an emergency.
